Farmwise Project

Preserving Wisdom, Restoring Land, Securing Food Sovereignty

The Farmwise Project aims at preserving indigenous farming knowledge and applying it through agroecological practices to restore degraded land, maintain healthy ecosystems, and secure food sovereignty for communities. This wisdom is either passed down from elders, embedded in cultural traditions, shared among peers, and/or innovated out of necessity when farmers face challenges. By working with farmers and experts, we collect this information, get it validated and then document it into practical, farmer‑friendly guides. These resources safeguard cultural heritage while empowering farmers to regenerate soils, protect biodiversity, and strengthen resilience against climate change.

If you have valuable insights we have not yet captured, please Contact Us.

Together, we can keep this living library alive and ensure it continues to restore land, sustain livelihoods, and secure our food future.
